Hello all,

My name is Sam Stinson, owner of Soccer Assigning Management LLC., and referee assignor. It is my goal as an assignor to create a relationship in which both you the referee and myself as the assignor mutually benefit. We both need each other in order to succeed. I have games to fill and you have games you’d like to officiate. I hope to be able to give you games that you can look back on and smile knowing that you were challenged and enjoyed yourself. I also hope that I build your loyalty and trust. I am here to advance your career helping you develop and grow along the way.  I personally know not all games are entertaining. In fact, some games watching grass grow is more amusing than the actual game you’d been assigned to referee. However, I challenge you to focus and use those games as practice for higher intensity games to come. For in those tougher matches you will need to stay focused and block out the spectators, coaches, etc who may negatively influence your refereeing on the field. I was once told and I like to repeat that as a referee you are only responsible for what happens inside the field of play. Disregard everything outside the lines for that is beyond your control and not within your jurisdiction. I hope you all have had a restful and enjoyable off season. Now it’s game time. For a successful and smooth soccer season I would like to clarify my expectations and code of conduct, as well as updates from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), FIFA and all the leagues we officiate. My office hours are 10 AM – 5 PM Monday-Friday. Weekends I am at various site locations and have my cell phone for last minute questions before, during or after your game. Please note I might be on the field during that time but I will call you back as soon as I am able. On weekends, if you are unable to get a hold of me via phone, text messages are preferred as compared to leaving a voice message.
