My Expectations of You

As a responsible referee, I expect you to: 

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate availability.
  • Check your email regularly.
  • Show up to your games on time (30 minutes prior to kickoff unless a league specifically states) dressed and ready to work. This includes having a whistle, watch, a referee book to write in, and something to write with i.e. pen, pencil, etc.   
  • At the conclusion of your game(s) enter your score on gameofficials.net in “after games” in order to receive GoPay payment. Game scores not entered will not be processed for payment. 

Behavior that will NOT be tolerated:

  • Showing up to games late or not showing up at all (no show)
  • Arriving looking unkempt i.e. shirt untucked, socks rolled down, etc.
  • Abusive and profane language. 
  • Showing up to a game site under the influence of drugs or alcohol are grounds for immediate disciplinary action including dismissal.  

Expectations of an Assignor 

  • Consistent assignments. Assignments will be posted no later than Sunday night for the following weekend’s games. I tend to assign at least 2 weeks ahead of the current schedule so please have your availability entered for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the current date. 
  • Consistent Communication during the season. I will do my best to send updates, and keep you informed of game, time, date and location changes. If a game change occurs a few days out, Game Officials will automatically notify you of this change via email and by text if you sign up for this option. I will also double back around with you to confirm this change. Should a game detail change occur within 48 hours of a game, please expect a direct phone call from me.  

Consistent Pay Cycle. Payments will be paid out to referees the Mondays following the weekend of games. For games assigned via Game Officials, Referees can expect to have payment in their bank accounts by the end of the week following the weekend of games.

Administrative

If you have not received payment for a specific game that you worked, please complete the missing payment request form. Our team will review your submission and work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
